A perfect lazy afternoon combining Jazz and food at Crail Community Hall.
Enjoy some beautiful Jazz music with the fabulous Louise Major and her band playing 3 sets of 40 minutes of popular and easy listening Jazz.
'The Major Groove' is a Fife based jazz quintet. Originally loosely formed from open sessions
at the Byre Theatre, members of 'the Major Groove' have played together for 15 years. The
musicians are: Louise Major on double bass, Maarten Verbraeken on trumpet and
flugelhorn, Maurice Hynson on keyboard, Al Dowman on saxophone and Tom Lowe on
drums. Much of their music is swing based, including beloved standards such as: Fly me to
the moon, There will never be another you, You’d be so nice to come home to, Bye Bye
Blackbird, and Lullaby in Birdland. Their cheerful jazz features glorious solos, tight rhythm
section, and fabulous piano playing: perfect for Sunday brunch.
Relax with some delicious light food while you soak in the atmosphere with friends and family. You even might be enticed to some moves to work off the culinary delights.
A selection sweet and savoury food will be available from the buffet including vegetarian options. Wine, Prosecco and soft drinks can be purchased from the bar.
